Hump Day

Today and every Wednesday is a very hard day for me emotionally. You see I work at a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting for safe, decent and affordable housing in Los Angeles and on Wednesdays we open the doors for people to walk in and consult on housing issues and tenant rights. We get bombarded with other peoples problems, from being evicted to harassment. I get old ladies telling me they dont have money to pay the rent and dont have family who can help them or they do and their own children wont help. My co-workers and I end up doing some emotional eating, which is so bad. When I remember I bring my Fluorite ring and some crystal jewelry, to keep me from absorbing all that negative energy. I also become very cold and insensitive when talking to people because if I drop that guard I end up feeling like shit and crying my self, giving them my cell number and dealing with their problems all week. Do you ladies have any tips on how to stay strong on this day and every Wednesday?

  1. You have a beautiful blog, I love the heading with the little witches! Have you tried the putting yourself in a bubble technique, I aways found that works best for me then you can let only positive influences through the bubble, everything negative stays on the other side. blessings to you, Alison xx

  2. I have n't figured out how to do that yet. In my line of work it would be a very productive thing if i stayed objective and a bit distant, but i tend to get overly involved in my clients lives, no matter how hard i try. Good luck though!

    1. I know right, being object I can do. I have a hard time keeping my self protected from their negative energy. I figure if someone is dealing with such a bad situation its because they have used their magick against them selves, by thought and action. I think that bubble idea works good, practice makes it stronger and healthier bubble. I used to do it a long time ago and it works. Try it.

  4. Before you leave in the morning, burn sage. While the sage is burning, close your eyes, and surround yourself with a white light for protection. It is basically like the bubble technique ;o)
